"Purple Haze all around, don't know if I'm comin' up or down, am I happy or in misery, or am I just missing Doctor E?" Well, miss him no more, for below you will find the next problem in The Wright Challenge, the University Of Northern Iowa's puzzle contest open to any UNI student or Iowa high school student. After all the jacks are in their boxes, the highest scores will receive prizes of $60, $40 and $20 dollars, and all qualifying scores will experience handsome certificates, suitable for framing.

Turning in the correct solution to this week’s puzzle by February 28th will earn 2 puzzle points. Turning in the correct solution, along with a nice, original zeugma will earn 3 puzzle points.

The Rabbit is looking carefully at his pocket watch. He notices that it contains the numbers one through twelve in the regular clock-face pattern. An ordinary watch.

He wishes to draw two straight lines on the watch face, to commemorate the two occasions upon which he was allowed to eat a bowl of Trix cereal. Each line will go from one edge of the clock face to another. The face will then be divided into three or four segments, each of which will contain numbers.

It would please him in a very non-contrived way if the sum of the numbers in each section is equal. Where should he draw the lines in order to make each section's numbers sum to the same total?
