  1. Mess around with the applet.
  2. Consider the white curve, y = a sin (bx + c) + d. Explain what changing each of the parameters does to the curve, making sure to carefully distinguish between the effects of a and b.
  3. If you followed step (1), you would have wound up with a red curve on the same axis as the white. What effect does changing d have on the red curve? Observe where the red curve crosses the x axis as you change the parameters. What relationship do the roots of the red curve have to the white curve?
